Parenting Social NetworksMaintaining a social presence is a lot like parenting… a set of crying, wet, hungry triplets who never sleep. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn — they are like three needy children who don’t discriminate between your personal life and your work life.

Oh, you’re in a meeting? Twitter doesn’t care, it needs to be fed or else it will stop loving you! Hot date tonight? First explain to Facebook why it feels neglected and wonders why Twitter is getting all of your updates. And why is LinkedIn only getting hand-me-downs from Twitter? Do you love it less than the others? Shame on you.
